Entry requirements: This is a beginner’s course. You don’t need to be able to draw or have taken a previous course to get started with your creativity. 

Have you always wanted to make your own book but didn’t know where to start? In this 7-week course, you’ll learn to work with the Leporello, a versatile and accessible book form that’s perfect for storytelling. 

We’ll explore the many ways to use the Leporello format, whether your work is figurative or abstract. From tiny to meters long, through playful and experimental assignments you’ll discover the creative possibilities of this unique structure. Experimentation is encouraged and supported! 

Throughout the course, we’ll work with various materials and techniques such as painting, drawing, stamping, and collage. You can also explore typography, mini comics, and photography. The focus during these 7 weeks is on your personal style and interests — and how to express them. The instructor will guide you in translating your vision into a beautiful Leporello.
