Learn the basics of stand-up comedy and joke writing

Do you think you’re funny? Well, maybe you’re right! Join this stand-up comedy course and learn everything about stand-up comedy, joke writing, and live performance. Over the course of seven weeks, this comedy course covers all aspects of creating and performing comedy. You will learn how to develop comedy writing skills, come up with and structure a good joke, and understand what makes something truly funny. How do you improvise based on audience suggestions? What is the best way to create funny characters and perform jokes on stage?

Perform your own stand-up set

This course combines stand-up comedy training, improvisation, and performance techniques used in professional comedy. From the basic principles of comedy (what makes a joke work?) to the trade secrets of the profession (what do you do when a joke doesn’t land?), everything will be explained in this course!

What do you need? A notebook, a good sense of humor, and plenty of curiosity!

At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to perform at the Parnassos Theatre.
