From your head back into your body – through dance!
In these guided dance sessions, where elements from different movement practices come together — such as Gaga, somatic dance and urban freestyle tasks — you’ll shift from being in your head to being fully in your body. You’ll dance, move, and enjoy beautiful music in all kinds of styles. The aim is to deepen your body awareness and discover creative new ways in which movement can take shape.
This course series is suitable for absolute beginners as well as experienced dancers. Together, we’ll explore which impulses create which movements, and how to trust your body and mind to intuitively find the right path through music.
Come and experience the joy of self-expression through dance!
Saskia Nartey-Wemegah is a dancer with a passion for improvisation and freestyle. She has fully developed herself in the club dance styles House Dance and Waacking/Whacking. These styles appeal to her because of their focus on improvisation, dancing together, discovering your own style, and the free expression within the dances. In her classes, there is space for awareness of personal movement patterns and emotions. Saskia also organizes events under the name Call & Response, where she brings musicians and dancers together.
