Do you want to learn how to act? Do you want to discover what it means to be a performer? Then this beginner acting course is perfect for you! During these lessons, you will learn what it means to perform on stage and to express your creative ideas to an audience. Emphasizing joy, courage, creativity and the freedom to play.
Elements that will be covered during the acting classes for beginners include imagination, improvisation, teamwork, transforming into a character and text treatment. By the end of the theatre course, you’ll have gained basic acting skills, your first experiences on stage and a deeper insight into your own strengths and areas for growth when it comes to acting!
Erik Goetjaer graduated as an actor in 2009 and went on to develop into a director through a Directing Course in London. Through trial and error, he has developed his own style and now directs both theatre and musical productions in the amateur and professional circuit. He has directed productions including One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Addams Family, Deathtrap, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2025, he wrote and directed the immersive performance Speakeasy, which received six nominations and won two awards.
He also teaches classes, workshops, and masterclasses, ranging from acting technique to musical theatre and Shakespeare. Erik strives to combine enjoyment with quality and aims to bring out the best in every student.

Julia Spoelstra completed her Teaching Theatre Maker program at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 2018. During and after her studies, she focused on how to engage diverse audiences in a coaching and physical way. She uses various techniques from Viewpoint, Frantic Assembly, and the Das Arts Feedback method, among others. Playing, creating, and experimenting together is important to her. It’s all about truly working as a group and having fun. So, if you’ve always wanted to try something new, Julia would love to share this new challenge with you.
