African Dance: a mix of African dance styles from different continents in Africa. During the course we travel from Coupé Décalé (Ivory Coast) to Ndombolo (Congo) to Azonto (Ghana) and much more! Thanks to music video clips and social media, African dance is becoming more and more popular.
Beginners and advanced dancers swing to energetic African beats. You are welcome to learn these dance techniques while we have fun and imagine ourselves in the warm heart of Africa!
Eva Scherpenisse, better known as Eva Aya Dance, studied at the Fontys Dance Academy (Dance Teacher) in Tilburg and regularly travels to Africa to further immerse herself in African dance cultures. In her classes, the focus is not only on technique and choreography, but also on the cultural background of the African street dance styles she teaches. She takes you into the roots of the movement, with respect for its origins and space for your own expression. Eva’s lessons are vibrant and engaging, ensuring you walk away with a smile and a boost of positive energy.
