On Saturday 13 June, the Olympos site will become the beating heart of Utrecht’s student music scene. During the UUnited Music Festival, nearly 400 student musicians will deliver a day packed with live music, surprising collaborations and a summery festival atmosphere.

This is the fifth edition of the festival and the first time it will take place outdoors. With two stages, food trucks, bars and hopefully plenty of sunshine, UUnited will feel like a proper festival day in Utrecht.

The festival is part of Utrecht University’s anniversary year and forms the highlight of UUnited On Tour. All participating music groups are affiliated with Parnassos Cultural Centre: the place where student talent comes together, rehearses and grows. You can feel that energy on stage.

LINE-UP

The line-up showcases just how diverse Utrecht’s music scene is: from grand classical pieces to pop classics, from choral music to big band and everything in between!

The afternoon begins on a grand, classical note with USKO. With around 150 musicians, they present a powerful programme in which choir and orchestra come together, perfect for enjoying in the sunshine.

Afterwards, the festival takes on a more exciting, experimental edge with De Cantorij, where old and modern, harmony and tension alternate.

In the afternoon, Medusa and USConcert take you on a journey through a world of musical stories and sounds from different cultures, from French and Scottish to Swahili. Time to connect.

As evening falls, the tempo picks up and the audience sings along with Het Huisorkest, who deliver a festive set full of familiar sing-alongs.

The day ends with a spectacular finale by USBB and Dekoor: an energetic mix of big band and vocals that leaves you with no choice but to get up and dance. Guaranteed to get you on your feet!
