Parnassos Podium is beholds all stage activities taking place in the theatre and bar of Parnassos Cultural Centre. It offers students the opportunity to perform, experiment, or simply enjoy performances by others. Whether you’re on stage or in the audience: Parnassos Podium is for everyone.
Our atmospheric theatre, with 100 comfortable seats, is the perfect setting for small-scale performances, shows, and try-outs. The Parnassos bar also regularly hosts live performances and other stage events.
The programme is diverse and ever-changing, but you can expect events such as:
Springplank! – our try-out cabaret night where up-and-coming comedians test their latest material
Open stage – an evening where students showcase their talents in music, spoken word, poetry, or other performing arts
Jam sessions – musicians meet in the bar for spontaneous performances
Karaoke nights – accessible, fun, and always full of surprises
Theatre and musical productions – performed by Parnassos students taking classes in singing, acting, or musical theatre
Parnassos Presents – end-of-course presentations by Parnassos students across a range of disciplines
Our bar (Parnassos Cultuurcafé) is open Monday to Friday and offers an informal meeting place for visitors, performers, and students from both within and outside Utrecht University.
