Entry requirements: Experience with physical theatre techniques such as Viewpoints or the Frantic Assembly method.
Have you already explored the world of physical theatre and are ready to take the next step? In this follow-up course, we’ll dive deeper into the use of the body as an expressive tool — not just to explore, but to create.
This course is designed for those with prior experience in physical theatre who want to move beyond exercises and into creation. Together, we will use techniques such as Viewpoints and Frantic Assembly not only as training tools, but as the foundation for developing original scenes and visual storytelling.
Through structured improvisation, movement-based composition, and ensemble work, we will shape short, performative pieces that speak through the body. Music, silence, spoken text, and physical imagery will come together in the collaborative process.
The course will culminate in a final presentation, giving participants the opportunity to share their work in a live setting.
This course will be held every week on the same day and time. If a lesson is missed due to a public holiday or other reasons (e.g. teacher illness, organizational reasons), the lesson will be made up at the end of the course. Please note that a course may be extended by a few weeks due to this. You can read more about this in our terms and conditions.
