Are you interested in theater, but don’t want to memorize a script? Then the improvisational theater course is perfect for you!
Everything we perform is created on the spot, and you’ll be given the tools to do it. Improvising isn’t difficult at all! You’ve been doing it all day. In this course, you’ll learn skills like absorbing and accepting, building on input from your fellow actors, and creating a story together. You’ll also learn to perform on stage with courage and confidence.
We’ll approach acting from different perspectives, from absurdist and hilarious to serious. You’ll discover that many of the skills you’ll learn are also applicable in everyday life. And are you thinking, “Oh dear, improvisational theater, you have to be funny for that?” Absolutely not! We’ll teach you to take your acting and your character as seriously as possible, and if you do, the comedy will naturally follow.
Does this sound like something you’d enjoy? Then sign up for the course, and who knows, you might one day perform a completely improvised show!
What you’ll learn:
