Looking for a moment to finally focus on your writing? Then join us on the first Friday of the month at the Parnassos Writing Café in our cozy bar.

Struggling to find the time to work on your novel? Looking for inspiration, peer support, or feedback? In our Writing Café, you can spend the entire afternoon working with a cup of coffee. One of our instructors is ready to help you if you get stuck or to provide feedback on your writing.

The Writing Café is a monthly afternoon where you can quietly work on your book, poetry, essays, or thesis, and school assignments. Together with other writers, and guided by one of our instructors.

Have you always wanted to write, but don’t know where to start? Next year, we’ll be offering a different theme for each Writing Café. Ideal for those who want to try something new or get some ideas.

Dark castles, dilapidated mansions, hidden secrets… we’ll delve into gothic horror in this writing café! Write along and discover what lurks in the darkness.

Note: The theme is optional; you can also work on your own text. The themes for Spring 2026 are:

– February 6: Translating Poetry

– March 6: Creatures from Other Planets

– May 1: Gothic Horror

– June 5: Stories About Cats Who Live in Bookstores

Our writing teacher, Max Urai, will be present during these afternoons to provide feedback and answer questions. The program consists of three 50-minute writing sessions, alternating with a 10-minute break.

Catering: Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided for the first round. You can also bring your own drinks or use the coffee, tea, and soft drink machines in the hall (note: our café is not staffed during the day).

Language: The teacher can provide feedback on texts in Dutch or English.

Will you join us for writing?
