Celebrate the anniversary of Utrecht University at Parnassos Cultural Centre! Stop by, join the celebration, come for a drink and get to know the sound of Utrecht’s student scene.
Our university was founded on March 26, 1636, and in 2026 it will celebrate its 390th anniversary! We’re marking this festive lustrum year in the place where student arts feel at home: Parnassos. During UUnited on Tour: UU Birthday Party, the Culture Café will transform into one big musical celebration full of energy, connection, and live music.
Enjoy the many performances, discover new music, and celebrate the start of this special anniversary year together. The student music ensembles of KOSMU will provide a continuous program of performances, from choir to orchestra, and from close harmony to big band. Happy Birthday UU 🎉
With performances by USKO, Utrechtse Studenten Cantorij, Dekoor Close Harmony, Het Huisorkest, and Studentenkoor Medusa. The evening will conclude festively with the Utrechtse Studenten Bigband, who will set the café buzzing from around 9:30 p.m. onwards. Not to be missed!

The Coordinating Department of Student Music Associations in Utrecht (KOSMU) brings together seven student music associations, representing more than 400 students. Together with Parnassos, they work towards one shared mission: bringing students together through music — since 1967.
UUnited on Tour
During the anniversary year of Utrecht University, UUnited is going on tour! After four successful editions at TivoliVredenburg, UUnited will head further into the city in 2026: from the Dies Natalis celebration to the Lustrum Festival at the Utrecht University Library. From choir to big band and from orchestra to ensemble, nearly 400 students will bring the strength and traditions of these sometimes centuries-old ensembles to life during various events across Utrecht.

For UUnited, this is a special year: the fifth edition, and part of the anniversary celebrations of Utrecht University and the UMC Utrecht. Be inspired by the quality and history of these sometimes centuries-old ensembles and discover how music connects. Everyone is welcome to join, celebrate, and bring the anniversary theme “Meet, Make a Difference” to life. Together on tour, together experiencing culture, together celebrating Utrecht. UUnited on Tour is therefore not only a celebration of the UU anniversary, but also a celebration of collaboration, talent, and the importance of culture for students in the city!
