Fourth workshop out of four through which Dekoor shares music with Utrecht’s cultural community. Dive into choral singing technique with Merel Martens.
Merel Martens is one of the Netherlands’ most praised and sought-after artistic directors and conductors. As conductor of MAZE Voices, among others, she has won several individual and collective awards. Dekoor is extremely pleased that Merel is coming to share her knowledge in Parnassos in the grand finale of this series of workshops!
During this one-off workshop, Merel will introduce you and the group to the technical aspects of choir singing. As head of the Vocal Leadership program and with the national award ‘conductor of the year’ in her back pocket, she is the right person for the job. Through focus, rhythm and blending, Merel will teach you how to become one with each other musically. The workshop is therefore aimed at people who already enjoy singing and want to improve their skills in singing together.
This workshop is suitable for both Dutch and English speakers.
