Parnassos will once again host an Open Stage this spring, this time the ‘Band Edition‘! The previous edition, on November 21, 2025, was a huge success. BRUNO (photo) blew the audience away, and everyone was dancing.
Why not have a whole evening full of bands? We know there are many student bands looking for a stage. But we’ve also heard from various UU staff members who play in a band together. We’d love to welcome you to our stage on May 8, 2026!
These are the bands we’re looking for:
- You have a repertoire of at least 15 minutes (playing time depends on registrations).
- You are 18+; students, recent graduates, or colleagues (working at Utrecht University).
- Various genres are welcome! We love variety.
- You (including backline) will fit on a 6 by 7 meter stage.
- You are available on May 8th from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Both Dutch and English-speaking acts are welcome. The presentation will be in Dutch, but we can translate your announcement.
Interested?
Send an email before April 1st (no joke!) to l.l.m.smit@uu.nl with:
- A short description of your band: how many members? What instruments do you play? What genre? How long have you been around?
- A video, audio clip, or link to social media with music (social media, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.)
- Information about the band members: age(s) & background (student at…, UU employee + position, etc.)
After April 1, 2026, you will hear whether you have been selected for the Open Stage: Band Edition on May 8th.
