From February 2026 onwards, you can immerse yourself in a creative spring full of learning, making and meeting others. Whether you want to dance, write, sing, design, relax or push your artistic boundaries: 2026 is your creative year.
Wide range of courses: new year, new skills
The spring season begins in February and once again offers nearly 100 courses across disciplines such as dance, music, theatre, visual arts, digital media, writing and body & mind. From absolute beginners to advanced makers: there is always something that fits your interests. Many courses are also available in English, making it easy for international students and staff to join.
Dance: the perfect break from your studies
Let loose in our dance studio with a professional dance teacher. From Waacking and Afro Dance to House and Ballet: here you work on your moves and your confidence. The ideal creative break in a busy week.
Visual Arts: start your creative era in 2026
Is 2026 the beginning of your creative era? Start with one of our visual arts courses such as Botanical Drawing & Art, Bookbinding and more. Learn new skills, experiment, and let yourself be inspired by the creativity around you.
Music & Singing: solo or together
Sing, compose, produce and play music together at Parnassos! With courses like Songwriting: Creating Together and Electronic Music Production, you’re in the right place, classical, acoustic or electronic.
Writing: from idea to story
Great story, but not sure how to put it on paper? No worries! Dive into Creative Writing or Sci-Fi & Fantasy Writing and discover how words, ideas and quirky thoughts come together into something that’s truly yours.
Theatre: time to take the stage
Parnassos wouldn’t be Parnassos without theatre. Explore the stage with Acting, Improvisational Theatre or Physical Theatre, and take that step you’ve been thinking about for so long.
Digital Media & Photography: make, shoot, design
Sign up for Graphic Design or choose one of our photography courses such as Creative Exercises. Dive into the world of image-making together with other digital creators!
Body & Mind: time for yourself
You don’t always have to push, push, push! Relax together with fellow participants in our Body & Mind courses such as Flow Improvisation. A soft and mindful start to the new year.
Productions: shine on stage
At Parnassos, course participants can also take part in a theatre, music or dance production. There is always room for new talent! Keep an eye on the website for upcoming productions, who knows, you may be in the spotlight this spring.
Your creative community in the heart of Utrecht
Parnassos is your place to step away from the daily rush of study or work. A place to challenge yourself, discover new talents or simply enjoy a drink in the cosy Parnassos Cultural Café. A place where you meet like-minded people, spark new passions, and join us for events ranging from cabaret and jam sessions to theatre nights, karaoke, workshops and more. With the Parnassospas, you can also rehearse at a reduced rate in our spaces. Parnassos is more than a cultural centre, it is a second home. A place to recharge, experiment and be inspired. KOSMU
The musical life for students in Utrecht is rich. Parnassos is home to the student music ensembles of KOSMU and several theatre groups. There are open rehearsals every year, and new members can join.
Tip: In celebration of Utrecht University’s lustrum, KOSMU will perform UUnited on Tour in 2026. Keep an eye on uunited.nl for the full programme!
