This spring, Parnassos presents another Open Stage… this time the Band Edition!
The previous edition, on 21 November 2025, was a great success. BRUNO (photo) blew the audience away and had everyone dancing.
So why not a whole evening full of bands? We know there are many student bands looking for a stage, and we’ve also heard from various corners of Utrecht University that staff members are playing together in bands. We’d love to welcome you to our stage on 8 May 2026!
We’re looking for bands that:
- Have a repertoire of at least 15 minutes (playing time depends on the number of registrations)
- Are 18+; you are students, recently graduated, or UU staff members
- Play any genre — variety is very welcome
- Fit (including backline) on a stage of 6 × 7 meters
- Are available on 8 May from 17:00 to 23:00
- Perform in Dutch or English
(The host will present in Dutch, but we can translate your announcement if needed.)

Send an email before 1 April (no joke!) to l.l.m.smit@uu.nl including:
- A short description of your band:
How many band members? Which instruments do you play? What genre? How long have you been together? - A video, audio fragment, or link to social media with your music
(e.g. socials, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.) - Information about the band members:
age(s) & background (student at…, UU staff member + role, etc.)
After 1 April 2026, you will hear whether you’ve been selected for the Open Stage: Band Edition on 8 May.
